October is here, and the temperatures are cooling. Although, to be honest, I’m still asking myself whether summer arrived at all this year! This week, I’m helping you hit refresh with my Winter Wardrobe style updates; you can find the details here. But in case you can’t make it to any of these events, I thought I’d share a couple of bite-size tips to help you stay up to date with autumn fashion trends for 2021.
Bite-Size Autumn Fashion Trends 2021
Going Green:
Green is set to be one of the key colour choices for Autumn/Winter 2021. I love greens, especially khakis and soft sage, so I’ll definitely be resurrecting some of my green pieces for this season. There really is a green to suit everyone, whatever your colouring.
Three Tips to help you wear green this autumn:
Something Old Something New – If this is a new colour choice for you, try pairing a new green item with an old favourite from your wardrobe, this might help you wear your green with confidence.

Going ‘Out Out’ – Choose a rich emerald green for a lux look and pair it with black or metallics for festive socials.
Top Tip: Be wary of green with red, especially at Christmas events, or you’ll be veering into fancy dress territory!
Find your Shade with Me! – If you book a place at the Style Updates at my studio this week, we’ll be looking at my picks of the best verdant hues from the high street. I’ll also give everyone who comes along a tip for the best shade of green to pick to suit them.
Quilty Pleasures:
Let’s hope it gets really cold this year as the padding, puff and quilting is a strong look for AW21!

Remember that padded looks can add bulk, so make sure to think about the fit and shape to suit you. A body warmer like this one from TU with a more fitted top underneath is a sleek option to get both the warmth and the look, but without being overbearing.
If you can’t make my Style Updates this week, I can still help you embrace this year’s autumn fashion trends. Find out more about how I work with clients HERE.
